Review Guidelines
We're tough on quality so renters can trust the database. Here's exactly what we publish and what we reject.
Who can submit a review?
Anyone who has personally rented from the company at any time in the past 5 years. We do not accept reviews on behalf of someone else.
How are reviews moderated?
Every submission is reviewed by a human moderator before publishing. We may ask for proof of tenancy (lease, utility bill, or move-in email) when something looks off.
How is the score calculated?
Each of the 15 survey questions is rated 1-5. Each answer is converted to a 0-100 scale, multiplied by its weight (e.g., responsiveness has higher weight than amenities), and the weighted average becomes the review's RCR score. A company's score is the average across all of its published reviews.
What gets a review rejected?
Defamation, naming individual employees in a derogatory way, threats, off-topic content, or anything that is not a first-hand rental experience.
Can a company pay to remove a negative review?
No. Premium and Enterprise plans do not give companies the ability to delete or hide reviews.
